Join the Adventure: Vacation Bible School at Clayton Methodist Church

Monday, June 22, 2026 - Thursday, June 25, 2026

We invite your family to be part of this meaningful week as children grow in their understanding of God’s love in a joyful and welcoming environment. Our VBS is designed to be a high-energy, safe space where kids can be themselves while learning about the Gospel.

What to Expect Each Night

Each evening kicks off with a delicious community supper in the fellowship area. Afterward, parents will check their children in with their dedicated age-level crews in the Main Hall.

Our rotating stations keep the energy high and the learning hands-on:

  • Mission Moments & Music: Starting the night with purpose and praise.

  • Storytelling & Scripture: Deep dives into the Word of God.

  • Games & Science: Energy-burning activities and “wow” experiments.

  • Crafts: Creative expression to take home a piece of the lesson.

Nightly Theme Days

Help your child get into the spirit! We’ve planned four special themes to make the week even more memorable: Rainforest Colors Day, Inside Out Day, Rain Gear Day, Silly Sock or Animal Print Day.

Learn about our 2026 VBS Mission Project

Inchy's Bookworm Vending Machine filled with children's books for a school in the North Carolina mountains.
Each year we choose a mission project that encourages children to help other children. This year we are going to help a school in the NC mountains that was affected by Hurricane Helene two years ago. This is a very small school with 110 students, all who eat free during the school year.
As we meet Monday through Thursday for VBS, we will collect NEW books for kindergarteners through 5th graders. Why not encourage your child to choose a favorite book or two to donate to this library. The students are able to earn two NEW FREE books each year. I have attached a photo of the book vending machine they use to make it more fun to choose their books.
Their art teacher is seeking community support for her amazing activities. I am sharing her amazon wish list to hopefully help these students enjoy art throughout the school year. She does a lot of pottery with them and the materials/glaze tends to get very expensive and exceeds the amount of money she is alloted. Amazon.com
Once again we will collect dollar bills (all increments!) as a part of this mission and see if the boys or girls will win bragging rights.
