Ash Wednesday Service

February 18th

6:30 pm

You are warmly invited to begin the season of Lent with us at Clayton Methodist Church as we gather for a meaningful Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a forty-day journey of prayer, reflection, and renewal as we prepare our hearts for Easter. This service offers a quiet and holy space to pause, remember God’s grace, and turn our hearts again toward Jesus Christ.

What To Expect

During this worship service, we will pray together, hear Scripture, and reflect on God’s mercy and love. The service will include the imposition of ashes, a simple and sacred practice that reminds us of our need for God and the hope we have in Christ. Ashes will be offered as an invitation, not a requirement.

Whether you have observed Ash Wednesday for many years or this is your first time, you are welcome here.

Why Ash Wednesday Matters

Ash Wednesday invites us into a season of repentance and renewal. It is a time to slow down, seek God’s presence, and open our lives to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. As we begin Lent together, we remember that God meets us with grace, forgiveness, and new life.
